I'm hoping to finish piecing this quilt in the next week. Unfortunately, it will be just one more quilt top I add to the closet.
But it will give me an excuse to start a new hand-pieced quilt :)
After that, I'm going to buckle down and finish this quilt --
For lots of reasons. But mainly because it's a wedding gift. And the wedding was in June.
I know I'm not late with the wedding gift (and I have a year before it is). I just feel awful when I don't arrive for the ceremony with their gift.

ReplyDeleteWow! Love your hexi stars. The wedding quilt looks very fun. :D I use tape for marking, too - in fact, I'm taking a break right now from tape prep-work on a quilt that's going under the walking foot tomorrow if not tonight.

ReplyDeleteyour hand piecing looks most excellent, so much work/love went into it and it shows! and I'd say no big deal about the wedding quilt. I know what you mean about showing up empty-handed, but all that will go away when they have the quilt in their hands!

ReplyDeleteHexagons look great! I am multiple years late on a wedding quilt and now they have started having kids and I'm late on baby blankets too. So, you are not doing too bad by that standard :).
